Fennel Tea

5/5/2013

Squash morning hunger pangs by drinking fennel tea before bed. Fennel is known for its cleansing, clarifying flavor that helps reset taste buds and reduce cravings. It boosts digestion, facilitating the absorption of nutrients, and reduces fat storage in the body. It also helps in calming an upset tummy. You can pick up fennel seeds in any supermarket or food health srore.
To make fennel tea, simply place 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds in a mortar. Apply pressure with a pestle to release the flavour and healing properties and then place the seeds in a pot with 2 cups of boiling water. Leave the tea for about 10 minutes to allow the water to become infused with the oils from the fennel seeds. Strain and enjoy!
