USE: Vitamin B-12, also called Cobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin with a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and for the formation of blood. It is one of the eight B Vitamins. It is normally involved in the metabolism of every cell of the human body. It supports brain function, production of healthy red blood cells, enhances energy and stamina by supporting the Adrenal glands, reduces cholesterol and dilates blood vessels. Vitamin B12 cannot be sourced from any vegetarian foods and so people following a vegetarian diet must supplement it.
SOURCE: Sources of B12 are meats, fish, poultry, milk, eggs, yeast and cheese.
