USE: Vitamin A is a fat-soluble Vitamin that is key for good vision, a healthy immune system, cell growth, bone formation, tissue repair and red blood cell production. It also acts as an Antioxidant and works to actively remove free radicals from the body.
SOURCE: Carotenes (i.e Beta carotene, Alpha carotene) are the precursor of Vitamin A and are found in plant sources, especially in orange and red ones such as carrots, sweet potatoes, mangoes and pumpkins. They are also found in green leafy vegetables. Vitamin A can also be also be found in animal foods such as liver, eggs and dairy.
